Fall/Winter 2009 Fashion Trend: Fur (Faux) Vests

Fur vests, real and faux, were everywhere on the fall 2009 fashion runways. Above: Milly, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Rebecca Taylor. While this trend is admittedly a tad daring, I think I could possibly succumb to it simply because the vests are warm and look oh so comfy. And fall in the C-bus just screams comfy to me for some reason. While this trend was rampant on the runways, it seems to be slowly catching on in the retail world. I've found a few options listed below, although they tend to be a tad on the expensive side as the low end retailers either haven't released some of their fall merchandise yet or are a tad behind the times on this trend. If you are daring enough to try this trend, leave me a comment and let me know what you plan on wearing the vest with this fall. Below: A Common Thread faux fur vest for $294 available on www.shopbop.com; A.Y. "Not Dead" faux fur vest for $165.51 available on www.asos.com; Damselle faux fur vest for $98 available at Nordstrom; Fred Flare faux fur vest for $60; Juicy Couture faux fur vest for $298 available on www.revolveclothing.com; LaRok "Shagadelic" lamb fur vest for $398 available at Nordstrom; Mango faux fur vest for $199.54 available on www.asos.com; Mongolian sheepskin fur vest for $180 available on www.topshopusa.com.
