Anna Sui recently announced that she will be creating a clothing line for Target inspired by the punk-rock styles of Jenny and Vanessa on the popular television show Gossip Girl. The Target collection will be out September 13, 2009 and will only be available until October 17, 2009. Pictures of the Target collection are not yet available, but if they are at all similar to the clothes pictured above from Anna Sui's runway line count me in!
Rachel Roy for Macy's
I love Rachel Roy's clothing but man is it expensive (even on sale). That is why, out of all of the diffusion lines that have been released or are about to be released, I think I am most excited for this collection. The Rachel Rachel Roy collection will be available at Macy's on August 1, 2009 and will include shoes such as those pictured above from $79 to $199, sportswear from $59 to $299, handbags up to $109, and jewelry up to $195.
Carlos Falchi for Target
Carlos Falchi is best known for his exotic skin handbags such as those pictured above. They typically retail from around $350 for the embossed bags to well over $1,000 for the exotics. From November 1, 2009 to December 27, 2009, however, you will be able to snag a limited edition Carlos Falchi for Target design. While I am a huge fan of designer diffusion clothing lines, I have always been somewhat skeptical of the diffusion handbag lines simply because the quality of the bag seems to suffer greatly as the majority of the bags are made of faux leather. A few of the for Target handbag designers have steered clear of the faux leather and used other materials such as linen and straw. A while back I picked up a linen bag from the Rafe for Target line that I still enjoy using in the summertime and that was purchased at a fantastic price point. Here's hoping that the Carlos Falchi for Target line breaks the mold!
